Sell My Damaged Car In Manchester
Crashed, flooded, hit-and-run, or already written off by your insurer: none of it rules your car out here. Tell us what happened and what state it's left the car in, and we'll base the price on the vehicle in front of us, not on what it might have been worth before.
What "Damaged" Actually Covers
Insurance write-offs, storm and flood damage, accident and collision damage, fire damage, vandalism: the label on the paperwork doesn't change how we look at the car. What matters is the vehicle as it sits, not the story behind it.
It doesn't matter whether the damage happened last week or has been sitting there for years, or whether you've already claimed on it through insurance or decided not to bother. We're not assessing blame or history, just what needs collecting and what it's realistically worth in its current state.
Cat S And Cat N: What The Letters Actually Mean
If your insurer's already written the car off, it'll usually carry a Cat S or Cat N marker. Cat S means the damage affected the structure, Cat N means it didn't. Neither category stops us buying it, and neither changes how honestly we price it: we're looking at the car as it sits, not worrying about what the letter implies about its history.
A Cat N car can sometimes go back on the road once it's been properly repaired and reinspected, since the damage wasn't structural. A Cat S car generally can't, which is usually why owners end up selling rather than repairing. Either way, the category tells a buyer what happened to the car, not what it's worth to us right now.
Why Sell Direct Instead Of Through A Broker
Plenty of "we buy any car" sites aren't buyers at all, they're middlemen who take your details, then sell the car on to someone else at auction. We're not that. We're a licensed collector, so the number you're quoted is the number that lands in your account, not something that shrinks once a third party's taken a cut.
It's worth asking directly: does the site you're getting a quote from actually collect vehicles themselves, or do they just pass your details on to whoever's nearest? A genuine collector can tell you who's turning up and roughly when. A broker often can't, because they don't know yet either.
How You Get Paid
By law, vehicle collectors can't hand over cash on the day. Payment's made by bank transfer once we've confirmed the vehicle matches what you described, so there's a paper trail if you ever need to check back on it.
Confirming the vehicle just means checking it matches the condition you described when you got in touch, nothing more involved than that. If everything lines up, the transfer's arranged there and then rather than days later.
Before You Call Your Insurer Back
We cover Manchester and the wider Greater Manchester area. All we need is your registration, a description of the damage, and your V5C logbook if you've still got it (no logbook? that's not a dealbreaker). Get a price here first, or send us the details if it's easier to explain.
